When Mission Gets Real – We make an inevitable understatement.  Jesus tells his disciples in Matthew 28:18, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” The right to rule everything belongs to him. All existence comes under his reign. Jesus is the one true King.  This is unspeakably important. The highest significance we could attribute to these words still seems to fall short. The crucified and risen Christ has cosmic authority. It’s greater than we can speak, but we must speak.

Satanic Baphomet statue nearly finished, may be placed next to Ten Commandments monument in Oklahoma Capitol – The Satanic Temple recently announced that their Baphomet statue—which the group is petitioning to have installed on the Oklahoma Capitol lawn—is nearly complete.

Book Review: Jesus Now – When most Christians think of Jesus, they imagine the man from Galilee who lived 2100 years ago. There is of course nothing wrong with imagining Jesus this way, but, as Frank Viola demonstrates in his latest book, Jesus Now: Unveiling the Present Day Ministry of Christ, we also need to remember that the New Testament has a lot to say about Jesus in the present. Jesus is at work in the world here and now, and if we don’t have a clear conception of what he is up to, we’re going to have a hard time partnering with him to do it!

Video: Watch Shocked Students React to Hillary Clinton’s Previous Position on Same-Sex ‘Marriage’ – We all know how uninformed (and misinformed) the average American voter actually is these days. Rush Limbaugh doesn’t call them low-information voters for nothing. However, what about university caliber students? Would they fare any better?  Or more specifically, how do you think these same culturally savvy students would react upon discovering that one leading Democrat candidate for president in 2016 once supported natural marriage? Would they already know or be shocked to learn about this fact?

Is Anyone Really Surprised? – This past week, rumors surfaced of Oprah joining the cast of a new faith-focused film—playing the role of God.  The film? The Shack, based on Wm. Paul Young’s dangerously stupid book. If the rumors turn out to be true, this would be perfect casting.

Justin Peters Explains Why Stories of Trips To Heaven Do Not Line up With the Bible

“If you want to hear from God, read your Bible.  If you want to hear from God audibly, read your Bible out loud.”  – Justin Peters
